Lance J. Dome, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
I have a passion for helping couples overcome life’s difficulties and to reach their full potential. I work hard to make sure that I understand your unique needs and provide individualized therapy and counseling sessions that will be of most benefit to you. I view symptoms and issues in context of a biological/psychological/social/spiritual context, looking at all possible areas of life for solutions to your concerns. I have experience working with people of all ages and a variety of issues. My specializations include marital, intimacy, and family issues, as well as anxiety, addictions, abuse and trauma.
I have been married for over 11 years and have 4 great kids. I have been practicing therapy since 2003. After obtaining my masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, I worked for several years as a family therapist for a family based substance abuse treatment program called Family Solutions. I also was a part time contract worker with LDS Family Services. In 2006, my wife and I felt it was time to take the plunge and for me to return to school to seek a doctorate degree. In 2007 I returned to school at BYU. I have since finished my doctoral coursework and am now in the final stages of finishing my doctoral dissertation.
Come meet me in person. The relationship between you and your therapist is key to how well therapy will turn out. I am happy to talk with you on the phone or respond to an email about any questions you may have. We can set up a time to meet when you are ready to get started healing your marriage.
